How to brew espresso beans?
I am going to tell you about the easiest methods for beginners. Of course, you need to ground espresso beans before using any of them.
First method: using a French press. You need about two tablespoons of espresso beans for every one cup of water.
- Heat water up to 195 degrees Fahrenheit (90 degrees Celsius) – you can simply boil it and then keep it without heat for about 30 seconds.
- Add grounded coffee to the French press and fill it with heated water.
- Stir the coffee, then close the lid (do not use the plunger yet) and let is steep for five minutes.
- Slowly press the plunger all the way down. The coffee is ready!
Second method: using a moka pot (Neapolitan method).
- Add water to the bottom of the moka pot.
- Put grounded espresso beans in the filter basket of the device.
- Attach the spouted top.
- Place the moka pot on the stove with the medium heat.
- As soon as water starts to boil, hissing sound will appear. The process should be completed when it stops. Remove the pot from stove.
And, finally, the third method: using an espresso machine.
- Add grounded coffee in the brew basket. Carefully tamp it.
- Make sure there is enough water in the water tank.
- Put the portafilter in place.
- Place your cup under the spout and turn on the water.
- Wait until your cup is full.
